aye, as well as i can be. it's a lateral move at least, not like i'm expecting horse-and-buggy and got a station. can't tell if the reverse would be worse.
there's always somewhere, even if 'somewhere' ends up being less than ideal.
i'm interested too. i'm not happy about being dropped right in the middle of things, but beggars can't be choosers and the information will be welcome.
You have to get used to chasing shadows, here. 'Answers' are always pretty vague.
Agreed. And she's definitely Starfleet - I just haven't been able to determine which. She say anything that sounded telling one way or the other to you?
I don't know it as a starship either, just the old Earth space probes. She did say she's from after my time, though. And there are plenty of uniforms in stasis that I recognize from - uh, that I don't really recognize. You know.
[ Still strange trying to articulate the mind meld, even after so many years. Telepaths, how the fuck do they work. ]
It'd be nice if every key event that defines the differences between our timelines wasn't awful and classified.
aye, plenty of matching insignia buttons with completely unrecognizable uniforms attached.
[ not that he has the other timeline for reference, but, still. ]
ah, but jim! how else are we supposed to have to figure everything out on our own whenever anything that could very easily be solved by knowing any of that happened?
Nevermind. My point is, we should probably just not ask for a while. Reportedly, even people who return to stasis, experience time progression back in their home worlds, then wake up again, don't remember anything of this place while they're 'back home'. But there's a chance we could really fuck time up (again), so.. we'll just get to know her.
aye, better to be safe than sorry in this situation i suppose. not much to be done for it. the memory loss is news to me though, and frankly i don't like the sound of it.

I worry about the natives.

worry'll only get us so far. we'll just have to do what we can, as always.

Yep. Hopefully this ancient refugee pans out. I'm interested to hear another perspective on the Orbiters.

If it's not bullshit.
[ Grumble. ]
Captain Janeway seems competent. I'm glad she's up.

she does, and i'm glad too. not exactly a familiar face, but at least there's something to go off of.

she didn't when i spoke with her, no. just that she was uss voyager, which isn't a ship name i recognize.
[ and like, he is definitely that guy that checks out when new ships pop up. gotta look at them STATS. ]

Me neither, but I'm not in a hurry to get myself injured enough to be crammed back into a stasis pod to confirm.

[ And we all know James T Kirk and trouble. ]
Man, I can't believe you didn't wake up when the station broke. I figured that would have HAD to be the thing.
